Q: How did you start out in this field of filmmaker?

A: I started out with my friend in the production business, which got me hook on music video production. But I’ve always wanted to produce movies since I was a young boy.

Q: What are the main considerations when you start making the film?

A: Plot, theme, conflict, characters, setting, symbol and point of view. These seven elements are the main things that I have to consider in order to make it relevant, unique and interesting.

Q: What is different between “A Little Thing called LOVE” and “My Name is LOVE?”

A: A Little Thing Called Love started with a woman who told a story of falling in love with an older boy in school and changing herself in order to impress the boy. My Name is Love is a story about cupid, fate and destiny which presents in a view of love that is all around us and sometimes we may oversee it.

Q: Are you writing your real life experience in the film?

A: I think I would identify myself more likely as the women. I was more like the lead actress in the film, not the lead actor”.

Q: What do you think about Thai film box office?

A: Most Thai films are created with a grand opening and then slow down. For my own film, we banked over 4 million baht when it opened and the number keeps rising, very unusual for Thailand.”  

Q: What is the main reason why “A Little Thing called LOVE” win many hearts of the audiences and become one of the top chart in the Box office?

A: It’s about a girl named Nam who is dark-skinned and considered unattractive. With a little whitening cream and help from her friends she becomes the prettiest and smartest girl in school. With the same as many people experience, this movie has stolen many heart of the audience who have gone through similar perils of adolescent relationships. That’s a reason why this movie is doing what most Thai movies never seem to accomplish; contining to make money. Come on, anyone who lives in Thailand knows that this story is going to kill at the box office.

Q: Who is the great performer you have ever work with?

A: I would rather say….
Bai-fern, Pimchanok. She nails the role in this whole film, which the movie spans about 10 years and she is the only one who looks different throughout, physically and emotionally though the whole film. She should win the Thai Oscar for the best performance!

Q: What is the characteristic of your film?

A: BASED ON TRUE STORY! I believe in LOVE in the real life that people may oversee it and I would like to express in my entire film.

My name is Love : เค้าเรียกผมว่าความรัก 

From the movie “ My name is Love”, it has the same theme, tone and background setting as “A Little Thing Called Love” because it is created by the same director. The plot of story is the main actress of movie used to be such an ugly duckling. 

When she get mature, she becomes the most attractive and beautiful girl among her gang.  

This film is enjoyable and humor-filled pace along the story line.

“Do you believe in fate?”

“Do you believe in cupid?”

Have you ever suspected why you have special feeling for someone even if you see many million people?

Do you ever think that people around you will help you falling in love with each other? Are they the cupid? 

Perhaps fate is often kidding with our lives.

Perhaps someone we hate, one day may become our lovers.

Perhaps someone we hate, one day may become the person we love the most.

Perhaps before we decided to do something, we should carefully think about.

Because maybe someday cupid may get around you. What goes around comes around!

Have you ever suspected why you have special feeling for someone even if you see many million people?

Do you ever think that people around you will help you falling in love with each other? Are they the cupid? 

This film presents a view of love that is all around us and sometimes we may oversee it.

It's fun, it's not boring, but it's just like it's not satisfied all the wants of heart and mind, as it should be.

Narrative It was considered crab made out well. Many humorous scene that bring the audience into the movie, which this movie create laughs since beginning toward the end, which considered to be the great one.

For my own favorite scenes, I personally impressed with the almost the ending scene when the actor (Pae Arak), wearing a fish mascot, wanted to tell his feeling to the actress (Bow), but he could not speak it out! I can feel the expression from his eye, face and feeling. I totally feel that how he feel and how much he loves her.

It is not easy to make people falling in love with each other. There are such things, events and surroundings more than our effort, time and commitment. Love is not only the relationship between two people, but they they also value one another and are willing to make an investment of time into the relationship – day after day.

Sometimes, it has already been fixed, but it only has to wait for the right time in order to make everything better and continue in its own way ...

Watching this film, I really feel like a cupid seeing people around us fulfill with love and happiness. Cupid is still around us in abundance. And perhaps we may have a Cupid by our own people.

This film totally creates love and happiness among the audience as well.

Even though, it is fulfilled or disappointed, at least we still have a chance to tell our feeling, so we should believe in the sense of our own good. It is worth to try it ^ ^.

After watching this film, who want to be cupid? At least, you can laugh and enjoy the movie. This movie may help someone beside to confess to you and you may be brave enough to confess.

MOVIE COUPLE "Ananda and Donut"

Ananda <3 Donut?  

            Since when Ananda Everingham openly admitted that he was in the dating period with a lovely actress, “Donut” Manutsanan, it seems like recently the two are openly flirty towards one another without a care of the public eye.

    With their flirty actions towards one another it’s making Ananda’s female fans irritated and annoyed with Donut that they can’t barely guzzle down the thought of Ananda with her.      

      Both of them went to Vienna together for the movie inspiration.

          

      “Ananda and Donut will make a great pair, and they're both great actor and actress,” said movie fans.

     One of the reasons was that Donut wouldn’t come out and accept that she was dating Ananda, but instead spoke of a lie and denied the whole situation. Ananda’s fans do not hate her, but is just merely irritated with her.

     

    Well they say true love has obstacles and hopefully this doesn’t damper Donut’s spirits with how his fans feel towards her.


     “I’m so excited for her. This will be her first movie and with Ananda and he is also a producer of the movie too,” said Donut’s fan club.
       Is this a serious relationship or just a fake relation to promote their new movie?

            According to the survey conducted by Thai film insight (www.surveymonkey.com), we have gathered and analyze the result from fifty different people and questionnaires come up with the following result:

            Most of the survey is conducted on the 16 to 25 age group ranges; therefore all the results will only take this particular age group into account.

5.) Shutter /ชัตเตอร์ กดติดวิญญาณ

          Shutter, 2004, is a horror film produced by Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom. Movie starred Ananda Everingham, Natthaweeranuch Thongmee and Achita Sikamana. The plot focuses on mysterious images that is developed and create a mystery. With a ghost story as prerequisite to the whole story, the film takes on the subject of spirit appearing in a photograph with mysterious appearance of spectral images caught by an amateur photographer.

         The highlighted scene shows a wounded Tun(Ananda Everingham) slumping in a hospital bed while Jane(Natthaweeranuch Thongmee) is visiting him. As the door swings sharply behind Jane, the glass reflection of Tun features Natre(Achita Sikamana), the ghost, sitting on his shoulder. This scene was captured by the eyes of every audience and remains in the audience though even after the movie have ended.

           After the released, the movie recieved a good response and was named the most thrilling movie during the time. Today, Shutter still remains one of the most favorite horror movie and named the scariest films of all time in Thailand. The movie end up with a total revenue of 107 million Baht.

4.) A Crazy Little Thing Called Love/

 First Love / สิ่งเล็กเล็ก ที่เรียกว่า...รัก 

           This 2010 romantic comedy film directed by Putthiphong Promsakha na Sakon Nakhon and Wasin Pokpong.

          The story focuses on the love of Nam (Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul) is an ugly girl who is secretly attracted to Chon (Mario Maurer) to the eye of young people who first experience crush on her senior at school and how it affects their lives and their inspirations.

         The film got the good impression and positive reviews from critics and audiences, despite being filmed with an average budget. At last count, First Love had earned around 80 million baht, which higher than expected. Demonstrating that Thai romance films have strong appeal in other Asian markets.

3.) Fan Chan/ My Girl/ แฟนฉัน 

           This 2003 romantic film portrays a nostalgic look back at a childhood relationship between a boy (Jeab, Charlie Trairattana) and a girl (Noi-nar, Focus Jirakul) that is growing up in a small town in Thailand. The creation of this movie is accompanied by six young screenwriter-directors, Vitcha Gojiew, Songyos Sugmakanan, Nithiwat Tharathorn, Witthaya Thongyooyong, Anusorn Trisirikasem and Komgrit Triwimol.

           The plot attacted the audience with its sweetness of a childhood relationship as well as the added humour of the film which certainly flashback the memory of the audience. Fan Chan was the biggest hit in Thai box office during the year 2003 with a total revenue of 140 million baht.

2.) Guan Muen Ho/ Hello Stranger 

             This romantic-comedy film also known as "anti-romantic" film produced by Banjong Pisanthanakun in 2010. The movie was inspired by the book called "Two Shadows in Korea" by Songkalot Bangyikhun. Actors in this movie includes "Ter" Chanthawit Thanasewi and new-face actress "Noona" Neungthida Sophon. Guan Muen Ho is released in Thai cinemas on the 19th of August 2010 and rated for over 15. The plot of the story is basically a love story where a guy and a girl met coincidently on a vacation to South Korea. They decided to travel together while keep their name secret. The filming of this movie was done in South Korea on locations known to be famous tourist attraction spots that appeared in many Korean dramas that were broadcasted in Thailand.

         It is because the couple have bonded and went through an outrageous advanture throughout the movie that plotted this romatic commedy films. This genre usually feature a couple that went through a conflict that entertains the audience and finally end up falling in love with each other. In this film, both characters do not give out their names and so get to known each other namelessly which gives an impression to the audience whether the romance between the two will ever get off the ground.

          This film touches the heart of many Thais which earns a great sum of revenue to the maker. It is estimated that the revenue in total reaches 125 million with 40 million on the openning week. This movie have undoubtedly become the highest money making film of the year 2010. Lastly, Guan Muen Ho will surely remain talk of the town for the next decade and this success set Banjong, the producer, as the new generation producer.

1.) The Legend of King Naresuan (ตำนานสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช)

            This film is a biographical historical drama film about King Naresuan the Great (1590 – 1605), who ruled Siam which directed by Chatrichalerm Yukol. It consists of five parts of film.

Part I: Hongsawadee's Hostage (2007)

             The film concerns the childhood of King Naresuan, when he was taken hostage by Burmese King Bayinnnaung. He became acquainted with sword fighting, skills of war and became a threat to the Burmese empire

Part II: Reclaiming Sovereignty (2007)

            The second part is about Naresuan as a young adult prince, who already become a head mility and leads his army on exploits against breakaway kingdoms for King Bayinnaung's successor, King Nonthabureng, and eventually breaks away to declare sovereignty for Siam.

Part III: Naval Battle (2011) 

           Naresuan's military and leadership skills and the expansion of the Siamese kingdom.

Part V (2012)

           The fifth part of the film focuses on the great attempt of King Naresuan who determined to free Siam from the Burmese rule. During his reign numerous wars were fought against Burma, and Siam reached its greatest territorial extent and influence.

            In production for more than three years, the project has an estimated budget of 700 million baht, making it the most expensive Thai film made. The huge production of the film and historical heroic plot attract huge amount of audience which the total revenue of five parts of The Legend of King Naresuan is absolutely over 1 billion baht.
